Papier D’Armenie

Papier d'Armenie Traditional Armenian Paper is the oldest interior fragrance. The unique scent of the little paper comes from the resin of Benzoin whose disinfecting properties were discovered by Auguste Ponsot in 1885, during a trip to Armenia. He decides to import its benefits into France. Benzoin was formerly used externally to treat asthma, coughs and colds, it is still used today as a healing agent.

Tear off a strip of paper and fold in accordion style and place on a heat-resistant dish or surface. Light it and blow gently to allow for a slow gradual burning. Burn time is approximately one minute, while scents are long lasting.

Armenie - Myrrh, sage, lavender and cedarwood make up these orientalist scents.

Traditional - Scents with sweet, vanilla and balsamic notes reminiscent of the scents of the Orient. The oldest and most classic home fragrance from Papier d'Armenie.
